LegaSea Aquarium & The Reptarium — You should check them out!

Earlier this month, the LegaSea Aquarium & the Reptarium had a giveaway on YouTube for a blue tie-dye shirt. So, naturally needing some shirts, I entered and won!

Since Lady looks better than me, I figured she should rock it!

But onward and about LegaSea Aquarium & the Repatrium …

I started following their channel moons ago and only finally subscribed to their channel on YouTube after some time because I just always saw their videos in my feed. And on that note, please hit the sub button on YouTube to support creators you enjoy! I’m guilty of just watching and never subbing, but that helps them greatly, and also hit that like button on the videos as well.

The LegaSea Aquarium (Utica, Michigan) is a 30,000-square-foot facility that opened on April 21, 2025, and was the fulfillment of the dream by the late Brian Barczyk, a local wildlife enthusiast who poured his heart into sharing his passion for creatures big and small.

Brian succumbed to his battle with pancreatic cancer in 2024 and had always dreamed of opening the aquarium. The amazing thing to me about this is that Lori and her team kept with us every step of the way since his passing. They made us feel a part of their story. While many of us won’t and can’t fully realize the emotions involved, they have kept us a unique part and continue to this day as if we’re there with them.
